This project began with a beautiful space architecturally. The interior had been recently painted with fresh coats of white and soft grey. The challenge was to create a modern functional office space to support team members and welcome guests within the traditional interior.

New furniture had to be comfortable and supportive for a wide range of individuals. It also needed to be durable and to wear well over time (. We added a rug for interest but also to dampen sound in a large front office where the team can gather near a fireplace.

The owner had some special family pieces in his private office. Some of which were donated while others kept and complimented by a custom coffee table with brass inlay and a custom storage cabinet, each in walnut.

The natural materials and gentle lines help to keep this space welcoming and familiar. But it is the uniqueness of the team and their leadership that makes this space feel like a home. There are a lightness and a sense of authenticity to the smiles that welcome you in. Our interiors are designed to be a strong environment that the individual owner can layer personal items of meaning and interest. In this space the wood floors were a favorite element and only covered by a single rug and a pair of yellow feet, a nod to this owner's time as a marine. The space is often decorated with reminders of the holidays or the change of seasons. The sum of all these parts is a space that can allow work to feel like home, and a visit to your insurance agency feel like you are visiting a friend.
