Not too long ago, I had the honor of joining the 131 Main team for a celebration of their 20th anniversary. What a gift. As you would expect, the day was beautiful, the food delicious and the music struck just the right chord. But what stood out was the fact that the event, like the restaurant has become a true family affair. Not just for the Douglas family who own and manage 131 Main and it's five locations, but for the 131 Main team. I met talented people who work in every aspect of the restaurant. Parents, adult children, spouses and friends all working together though rarely in the same function or location. I met a member of the kitchen team who had been with 131 Main since the beginning and suppliers whose relationship with 131 Main has also lasted decades.
