Existing Construction/ Renovation

Location: Charlotte, NC
Style: Rustic, Modern, Americana
Brief:
Removal of all existing elements back to studs. Complete brand conscious redesign; new materials and finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures, accessories, doors and hardware.

Coming home... A primary goal of the renovation was to create a space to rival and reflect the nature of a well-heeled home. This we accomplished with a team approach. We selected natural stone tile for the floor and walls. Above the stone pencil trim a modern textured wall treatment was installed. The tones of which were selected to compliment the natural tones of the wood. The Women's Restroom was given a softer rendition of this unified design concept with a lighter wallcovering and quartzite counters. The Men's Restroom, in contrast, received charcoal-colored wallcovering and granite countertops.
Area craftsmen were brought into fabricate the interior doors and trim in the same wood species as the building interior. The doors were then fitted with cast bronze hardware, made here in the USA.
New modern plumbing fixtures were installed to meet both the design requirements and functional demands of a busy commercial space. At the wash areas, natural stone counters were added with gracious undermount stainless steel sinks. Hands free faucets with a minimal design were also added. Minimal mirrors framed in bronze, along with alabaster and bronze sconces complete the space.
The tone of each bathroom is set at the entrance. The weight and subtle character of a wood door, the substantial bronze handles, push plates and kickplates; every detail guides and defines the experience.
